i heard on WFAN this morning ND is a 2.5 point favorite.
I watched ND v. Stanford Elite 8 game and Stanford confused ND the first half and was up by 7. But ND really killed Stanford with transition offense in the second half and it looked like Stanford had no legs. They also had only one girl who could score.
ND guard Mabrey has been mired in a deep shooting slump. She is normally a deadly 3 point shooter, and I am not sure if she is hurt or just badly slumping.
Both ND and UConn are offensive minded teams. The difference in the first game when ND was beaten is that their transition defense was worse than awful resulting in Williams getting 28 points on so many runouts. I suspect this will be cleaned up. ND wants a halfcourt game and if it becomes a halfcourt game they have a big advantage with their size inside. Nelson Ododa will have to play and not use all 5 fouls up.
