UConn closes out a season opening seven-game road trip to begin its inaugural Hockey East season by taking part in the Liberty Invitational in Newark this weekend.

UConn closes out a season opening seven-game road trip to begin its inaugural Hockey East season by taking part in the Liberty Invitational in Newark this weekend.

Uconn beats Merrimack in the shoot-out on Friday to advance, but loses to Yale 2-1 in the Championship game at the Prudential Center in Jersey on Sunday..... despite out-shooting them 33-24.
UConn downed by Yale, 2-1, in Liberty Hockey Invitational
Big crowd expected for the Uconn's first home game of the season (and first in Hockey East) on Wednesday
vs. #5 Boston College.....The XL Center is now selling upper level and end zone seats for this game, in which Uconn
was only planing on using the lower bowl.

Also the Courant'shttps://twitter.com/ManthonyCourant/status/529034367226904578 reports that " former Avon Old farms, BC and Rangers great Brian Leetch
along with Uconn star and former Hartford Whaler Todd Krygier to take part in ceremonial puck-drop prior to
game on Wednesday at XL Center."
