College baseball started last week and the Huskies(without All-America ace Mason Feole ) took care of business in Lakeland, FL by taking 2 out of 3 from #4 ranked Louisville . Here's a little story on the 2019 Huskies.

PS, this is the final season @ JO Christian Field. The new BB stadium will be behind the new soccer stadium which is currently in full blown construction mode up in Storrs with a portion of Jim Calhoun Way shut down for the projects.(below) Uconn BB also plays 4 games in Hartford at Dunkin Donuts Park this year.

Here's the new layout..... the practice soccer field will move to the spot that was JO Christian. Gals softball and Soccer ( Morrone Stadium) stay in the same general location:

Uconn 2-0 this week (15-8 overall) in their first home games of the year. Knocked off UHart on Tues and Boston College yesterday. Huskies currently have the highest RPI in the AAC ( #18 in the country), (DI Baseball - RPI | NCAA) and head down south to UCF (#32 RPI) this week-end...

One more Poll: Baseball America Top 25 Poll
# 22 - Connecticut made big waves over opening weekend when it won a series against Louisville in Lakeland, Fla.. Since then, the Huskies have had some ups and downs, but they’ve caught fire of late. With a 4-1 week that included a series win over UCF, they’ve gone 10-3 in their last 13 games. After splitting two close games to begin the weekend with the Knights, they left no doubt with a blowout win in the finale. Six different UConn hitters had at least two hits, led by a 3-for-5 day with a home run from shortstop Anthony Prado and a three-hit day for left fielder John Toppa with two doubles. The Huskies have only played two home games this season, so they’re undoubtedly looking forward to a five-game homestand this week, culminating in a conference series against Cincinnati.

Upcoming

Apr. 2: Fairfield ----Apr. 3: Massachusetts-Lowell ----Apr. 5-7: CIncinnati

Here's a live ESPN+ type ( preview, get used to it) streaming ( on Youtube) of Uconn BB on the road today in a rubber match vs. Sam Houston St.
