Jalen Adams Career at UConn Likely Over

It's very unfortunate but that timeline makes it seem unlikely that Jalen would be ready for even possible postseason games.

This means we will be seeing a lot more of Brendan Adams and, perhaps, less use of 3 guard lineups and more use of Cobb/Whaley/Diarra at the 4.

I guess the big question is, what's Alterique's status ?

I hope Alterique doesn’t feel pressured to play. But UConn has the depth to absorb this double whammy of injuries and can play Tarin Smith for another game or two at point guard, if necessary. With Alterique back, UConn would still have a 4 guard rotation and the perimeter defense might actually be better with Jalen out.

Gilbert needs to play again this year......it will hurt him too much to sit out and not play again in Uniform until next year.

I like what this team can learn with Adams out. I love the kid but he isnt all there mentally for some reason so better off getting the kids coming back next year comfortable with Hurley.

Insofar as the injury opens up some minutes for Brendan Adams it’s a positive thing. Adams looks like a good offensive player but his defense is not at the level Hurley wants it, so now he can play through his mistakes a little bit more. The rest of the season is about growing the team. It’s not about winning any more.

On that note, I don’t see Isiah Whaley coming back. He wasn’t Hurley’s guy, and a transfer writing may be on the wall for him.

Whaley had moments but skill wise not sure he is a D1 guy. Ollie at his finest.
