Huskies land potential QB of the future in Tyler Phommachanh

Huge news came down the UConn Football recruiting pipeline today as the commitment of QB Tyler Phommachanh out of Avon Old Farms was announced. Phommachanh, who is listed as 6'0", 185 lbs, will be heading to Storrs in the fall of 2021 where his dual-threat ability should put him immediately in the starting QB conversation.

After landing offers from Albany, Army, Coastal Carolina, Dartmouth, Maine, UMass, Navy, Sacred Heart, Towson, and Wagner, it seems the draw of playing close to home was too hard for him to pass up. Phommachanh is currently ranked as the #12 QB in CT and #79 QB overall in the class of 2021. He is also the brother of Clemson sophomore QB, Taisun Phommachanh.
