Hamilton Ranked 26th Best College Player In Country

Nice to see DHam make the list but this list lacks any kind of real knowledge or depth. The blurbs on all the players make me feel as if this belongs on ESPN.com. Will the real college bball writers please stand up?...are there any left out there?

Does everyone think hamilton is ready and capable of becoming the offensive leader of this team?

Hamilton can turn into an all-around threat if he adds more size. He can get rebounds, dish out assists and attack the basket. He just needs to develop a reliable jumper and he can be one of the best two-way players in the country.

dbaum, I agree with you. Hamilton needs to add size and more consistency on his jumper. I thought he would be a better 3 point shooter but he was actually just average. He has a nice stroke though. Also needs to cut down on his TOs although most of them were in attack mode he just has to use better judgments when handling the ball in traffic. If his game develops he could be a Rip Hamilton type player although Rip had a little better handle and a tremendous mid range jumper which might also end up becoming a bigger part of Daniel's game.

It can be expected that he will be better, Purvis will be better, and Brimah will be better. The question is how good will those collective improvements make UConn. I actually think the team will be very balanced scoring wise so there could be improvements that are not readily noticeable just in the scoring column as Gibbs and MIller are going to be easy double figure scorers. UConn could easily have 5 double figure scorers on this team.
