When UConn plays the SMU Ponies this afternoon, Gabby Williams will be seeking to become the 3rd UConn player in history to collect 200 rebounds in a season. Gabby needs just 8 boards to join thie club. The other 2 who had 200 rebound seasons and have membership in this club are Maya Moore and Breanna Stewart. Gabby is smaller than either of those players yet is rebounding the ball ferociously. She is the best all around player on the UConn team and in women's college basketball. Her defense, shot blocking, rebounding and assisting are all best on the team. The only thing missing from her game is a perimeter shot but the way UConn is playing her it isn't necessary for her to take any perimeter shots, and in any event UConn already has some outstanding 3 point shooters on the perimeter.
