HCRE said last winter that his IDEAL Roster/ scholarship usage looks like this:

4 QB - 5 RB - 11 WR - 5 TE/HB - 16 OL = 41 total offense
3 NT - 9 DE - 3 MLB - 4 WLB - 3 SLB - 4 HLB - 8 CB - 7 Safeties = 41 total defense
+ I'd assume 3 on ST's which he has 3.

Looking at the Current Roster his late signings should break-down as:
Needing - 4 WR (including Cam Ross) - 2 TE- 2 OL and 1 DL- 2 LB
Question becomes with him now offering another QB does he plan on losing one from the current roster?
PS ....dead period ends 1-10-19

True, and though that article was written when he was transitioning away from 3-3-5 to 4 DL's, he's already overloaded with more than enough safeties and CB's to play the 3-3-5. He said he needed 15. When you count the undersized DB's that RE's been moving back and forth to the Husky, he currently has 19 on he roster. Meaning some of these guys had better bulk up so they can compete for a legit LB spot or they will never see the field. It'll be interesting to see what he goes after on the late signing day and if he brings in a couple more DL's with the switch to a 4-3-4. He still looks real light on legit sized LB's.

Here's the recap of the FEB signed guys, Randy got the 4 more WR's, he said he likes to carry for a total of 11, he now has them. Got the DE he was short and another QB so he's at the 4 he likes to carry :

Looks like 79 scholly players now and still seems short on 2 TE, 2 OL, 2 LB's ....might be time to look at the transfer market this spring especially being real thin at the TE position with only Jay Rose, converted QB/WR Donovan Williams and the true freshman Jayce Medlock who doesn't look physically ready at 210lbs.
