Diarra to become student Asst. Coach

" Diarra has been granted a medical disqualification, granted when a student-athlete is injured to the point where it is not in his best interest to continue to play. This allows Diarra to keep his athletic scholarship, though it will not be counted against UConn’s scholarship allotment.......Diarra’s decision opens up one final scholarship for UConn to fill for the upcoming season. The Huskies will likely be looking for another big man, but will also take the best available player at any position as it tries to continue to stockpile talent after three straight losing seasons."

I kind of knew this was coming. It’s nice that Hurley threw the kid a bone as Student Assistant given his involvement in several successful recruitments including Akok Akok.

Yeah it's been posted in other threads for awhile, but you have to go through the process I'm sure. .......so DH did the the right thing, plus this is very common in the football program with student coaches/ GA's

Makes sense so I hope now people stop with the calls for other kids to leave.......let the kids who came here stay here if they want.
