The Big East FOY race was very even and his guy lost due to season ending injury and the fact that McNeeley's stats were similar/just as good:
My comment on this news article is that it reminds me of the line from William Shakespeare's play Hamlet, "the lady doth protest too much, methinks", for which you can substitute the name of Ed Cooley. Also reminds me of a famous Justin Timberlake song:
Some of this may even be posturing to motivate Sorber to come back next year and win the POY award, like Cooley is predicting. Which the kid probably will, due to his injury, depending on his projected draft placement.
