Very cool that Giffey will be coming back. Was the glue guy on the 2014 title team. I still think the 2014 team played the best team defense I have ever seen played by a UConn team and Giffey was at the center of it. He knew how to play some D. Also could shoot 3s. Defense and 88% FT shooting was what brought that title.

I had a thought looking at this picture. JC had "his guy" take a shot a running "his program" , now another guy ( Blaney) who spent years at Uconn and quite a few games as head coach ( filling in for JC including UConn's defeat of # 1 Texas in 2010), has " his guy" taking over. Wonder who's guy will last longer ?
