...according to the Boston Globe:

"The on-court portion of the NBA draft combine begins Thursday afternoon. The action will be televised by ESPN2, with most of the intrigue surrounding the return of five-on-five play this year. Boston College guard Olivier Hanlan and UConn guard Ryan Boatright are both on Team 1 and will play at 3:30 p.m. against Team 2, which features Arlington native and Notre Dame standout Pat Connaughton."

Also Boat officially measured out at 5-11...170lbs

"I thought I played good for the minutes I played. I could have improved on the turnovers. I had two careless turnovers (three total). But overall I think we played good," said Boatright" He played like a man with something to prove, filling up the stat sheet with 12 points, two assists, a steal and a blocked shot. "I think everybody knows I can score, everybody knows I can handle the ball," Boatright said. "I think the biggest question of NBA teams was that I was too small. I am showing that I can hold my own. And I am not even at the weight right now that I was during the season [he says he played at 152]. I am just proving that I'm not too small."

My question with Boat is not so much on talent but his body. Can a lean wiry body like that stand up to the physical abuse and pounding an NBA guard must take? How many guys in the NBA have bodies like Boatright? Most of the effecttive smaller NBA guards, for example Isaiah Thomas, have very strong bodies built for contact.

That kid has so much heart........I won't count him out, never. He plays in the NBA.

Yeah he's just so small and doesn't have the "can make everyone better style" that Kemba and Bazz had to their games, as the scout mentions in the article below it's gonna be tough task for Boat but he stuck it out and tried to improve on that for the Huskies... so I'm hoping for the best...... even if it's getting paid in Europe so he can take care of his Mom and family with all the crap the NCAA put them through:

“Ryan Boatright is a small scoring guard who may not be drafted,” one NBA scout in Chicago told SNY.tv. “If he is drafted he will probably spend the entire year in Europe or the D-League. He is a streaky shooter who struggles to run a team as a point guard.”

Giffey can put in a good word for him in the German league and Daniels in the Australian league. Don't forget that KEA beasted the Euroleagues for many years. There are worse things in life than travelling across Europe as a pro hoopster. I don't get the mindset that says there is something wrong with that. There isn't.

True, as the article and one scout said:
If Boatright ends up having to play overseas — particularly Europe — it wouldn’t be his dream, but it wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing, either.
“He’s an unbelievable money-maker in Europe,”
the second Eastern Conference scout said, “because he’s the type of guy they don’t have over there. They don’t have the super-quick guy.”

Because after your out of options what's being a pro about anyway ? If it's not about the Benjamin's, or in this case Lira, Euro's or Rubles
