is ready to go ....
Big difference compared to a few years ago when that joke of a UFL team was "renting" the place out. I remember coming
back one summer and the grass surface was burnt out and looked terrible with everyone pointing the finger and making
excuses. The the old MGT would paint over end zone names and you could read right threw one to the other. But who ever
has stepped up, (The state OPM or the new MGT. Co, Global Spectrum ) the field maintenance crew deserves a big shout
out, because it's the best the grass surface has looked since the place opened:

I guess money was approved for other things besides the new scoreboard:
" The CT State Bond Commission voted last week to approve $2.8 million for repairs to Rentschler Field
in East Hartford, home of the newly rebranded Connecticut Huskies, it was said that about $1.67 million of
that money will be used to replace scoreboards at the stadium."

Here is more regarding the scoreboard which is in place for the opener vs. Towson. The "ribbon boards" will be installed
before the Maryland game:
NBC news- New Scoreboard Unveiled at Rentschler Field (The old scoreboard was only 24' x 32')

" The main video display will measure approximately 28 feet high by 73 feet wide and feature a 15HD pixel layout to
highlight live video and instant replays. It can also be divided into separate windows to show a variety of vivid graphics,
colorful animations, up-to-the-minute statistics, scoring information and sponsor advertisements. "

" The two ribbon displays will provide the opportunity to showcase sponsors throughout events and provide
up-to-the-minute statistics and game information. One of these displays will wrap around the fascia of the seating
bowl featuring 20 millimeter line spacing and measuring more than 2 feet high by 210 feet wide. The other display
will measure more than 2 feet high by 73 feet wide and feature the same 20 millimeter line spacing."
