Anna Makurat Enters Transfer Portal

Passed in the rotation by both Edwards and Griffin, and with Poffenbarger waiting in the wings to soak up her minutes, a transfer not really a surprise for someone who went from starting to 7th in the rotation. But she is a really good player and a tremendous shooter, and I can see her as a top 3 point shooter and starting forward at most schools:

Sophomore guard Anna Makurat is transferring from UConn after two seasons with the Huskies. She missed 13 games with a stress fracture in her right leg.

I hate this. Geno’s rotation is tighter than a drum and he would play only 4 girls if they let him. As a result, I wouldn’t be surprised if Mir and Griffin put their names in As well.

Ana is a great passer and a good shooter. We will see her again somewhere in the tournament.
