UConn is pursuing Quaran McPherson, a 2021 guard out of Woodstock Academy in Connecticut, per 247Sports. Right now, the Huskies don't have any open scholarships, though that could change if a player declares for the NBA Draft or transfers. That would likely mean any player would need to wait to make a decision and McPherson sounded like he wanted to commit soon.
"I would probably say over my break because we're about to have break in November," he told 247Sports.
Here's what he said about UConn:
"They got guards there so I would have to go in and take somebody's spot. They feel like they're at home because it's not too far from where I am from and I know some of the players there."
Listed at 6-foot-3, McPherson is rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals.
