    I'm pretty sure you can rip off the redshirt at any time. But if you step on the court for a game, exhibitions also, for even a second there goes the redshirt. The redshirted player is allowed to practice and travel with the team. I think you can even dress for games and sit on the bench.

    I don't understand that part of what you wrote. I don't think you have to apply for a redshirt before the season and then that's locked in. JB (no F any more, his name is now Javonte Brown) can practice with the team and they can take off the redshirt at any time if Hurley thinks they don't...

    It had been reported when UConn joined the Big East that the first year the Huskies would either be in this or the Big Ten challenge, but not both. We'll have to wait until the following season to be in both.

    Look when those 2 predictions were made? Back in mid-September the feeling was that he was going to Texas A&M. And then he visited UConn and things changed. Just like Andre Jackson was all but headed to Syracuse and then he visited UConn.

    Totally different. Akinjo never made it to UConn and didn't register for classes. UConn just had to let him out of his LOI, which they did. The NCAA didn't have to get involved. Once a student athlete registers for classes at a school, then a transfer needs the NCAA's blessing.
