UConn Report and other sources are reporting that Gilbert will be picking UConn when he announces his decision tomorrow.

He was at No. 77 at the time he announced UConn in his top 5 https://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1764080

Gilbert would become the second commitment in the 2016 class, joining Mamadou Diarra. Terry Larrier will also be new to the team after sitting out his transfer season.

UConn recruits seem to have a knack for moving up the rankings. 2017 UConn target Hamidou Diallo was one of the highest risers in the newly released rankings for his class. 2015 commit Steve Enoch experienced a similar rise across the life of his recruitment.

Mamadou Diarra also slid into the Top 150, earlier this year he was listed in ESPN's Top 100.

its the big school bump, typical.

Larrier could be a GREAT UCONN fit, keep forgetting about him next year. Should slide right in for Hamilton right ?

Gilbert had already climbed in the Rivals, ESPN, and 247 rankings before he committed

Big school bump happens when the offers from big schools start coming in, not just when they commit.

No big school bump... Kid has been busting behinds and taking names. Plus working his butt off with my main man Swain training hard to be #1 PG in this class!!

+1 ....everyone( "the sites") was behind on this kid...his bump was all about doing work vs. the top comp in the country in the NIKE EYBL this spring:

"Gilbert is heating up in a hurry on the EYBL circuit, which is a scary thought for anyone going up against Team CP3. The 2016 four-star point guard is coming off a big weekend in Houston–averaging 21.5 points, 4.5 assists and four rebounds per game. Gilbert is electric with the ball in his hands, and his quickness and court vision make him all the more dangerous. Gilbert showed out against the King James Shooting Stars on Sunday, as he posted 21 points, four rebounds and 10 dimes. He has scored at least 20 points in his last six EYBL contests–leading his team to a league-best 11-1 record. Gilbert is ranked No. 53 in the 247Sports Composite rankings and No. 11 at the point guard position. While you wait for the scouting sites to catch up, go ahead and lock Gilbert in as one of the top 25 prospects in the country. "

Which doesn't even mention his D that has been been giving fits to opposing guards ....like the CP3 team name...he has a lot of that CP3 look to his game and I also like that he has been a consistent( 55%) 3 pt shooter on 294.... 3pt attempt's in his first 3 years in HS.
